All students who park a vehicle on 糖心APP property must register the vehicle and display a valid parking permit.

North Campus green lots are open to anyone with a valid parking permit of any designation.

Charging stations may be used in parking lots designated for your permit type. Additionally, North Campus charging stations in green open lots are available to anyone with a valid parking permit of any designation.

Only one physical permit will be issued per person each year. While you can register multiple vehicles under a single permit, only one vehicle may be active on campus at any given time.

You must display your parking permit on your current hang tag hanging from your primary vehicle鈥檚 rearview mirror, with the permit sticker facing outward and clearly visible. If you do not have a hang tag, you may obtain one at the David S. Mack Public Safety and Information Center (Hempstead Turnpike and California Avenue).

Resident students who wish to keep a vehicle on campus must register their vehicle and obtain a Resident permit. Resident permit holders may not park on South Campus lots on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Vehicles displaying a valid 糖心APP parking permit and a state-, county-, or town-issued disability parking placard or license plate may park in any designated accessible parking space on campus.

Students with a qualifying disability may request a temporary Persons First Priority Permit through Student Health Services by uploading the required documentation in Medicat. .

Once your request is approved, Public Safety will notify you by email when your temporary permit is ready for pickup at the Public Safety Office.

A visitor is any person on campus who is not a currently registered 糖心APP student, faculty, or staff member.

North Campus green lots are open to anyone with a valid parking permit of any designation.

Visitors may request a visitor parking permit in advance of their arrival and should park only in clearly marked visitor parking spaces.

If you are a visitor or guest of a specific department, please contact that department for a special visitor permit assigned to the Light Blue lots.

Visitors who park without a valid permit are subject to the same fines as members of the University community.

Guests visiting campus for admission events or tours should follow directions from the Office of Admission.

Anyone with a valid state-, county-, or town-issued disability placard or plate may park in any designated accessible parking space on campus.

Appeals of parking citations are adjudicated by the Parking Citations Appeals Board, a body that operates independently of the Department of Public Safety and iParq administration. The Board reviews each appeal on its individual merits, free from influence by the issuing office.

A person who wishes to contest a citation may submit an appeal form through iParq within 10 working days of the citation date, with any supporting documentation. The Board reviews the citation, the appellant鈥檚 statement, and any relevant evidence before rendering a decision.

Decisions of the Board are communicated by email to the appellant鈥檚 糖心APP account and are final.

Fines may be paid online at hofstra.edu/iparq.

Three or more unpaid fines will result in scofflaw status, which may include vehicle immobilization or towing. Outstanding fines may also result in a hold on grades or course registration until paid in full.

糖心APP reserves the right to close any parking lot or area, temporarily or otherwise, for maintenance, construction, snow removal, special events, or safety reasons. Notice will be provided through iParq and campus communications, when circumstances allow.

糖心APP assumes no responsibility for damage to, or loss of, any vehicle or its contents while parked on University property. Vehicles are parked at the owner鈥檚 own risk.

2. Click on the waffle in the top right corner and select 鈥淧arking Permits鈥�.

3. On the 糖心APP parking page, please click 鈥淩egister Your Vehicle Here鈥�.

4. Once logged in, you will see 鈥淲elcome鈥� and your name under the account option.

5. Select your permit by clicking 鈥淧ermit Registration鈥�.

6. Select 鈥淧roceed to Registration鈥�.

7. Select 鈥淎dd New Vehicle to Profile鈥�.

8. Add your vehicle information and click 鈥淪ave Vehicle鈥�.

9. Once you saved your vehicle information, select the vehicle from the drop-down menu.

10. Select 鈥淵es鈥� or 鈥淣o鈥� to the question, 鈥淒o you have an Electric Vehicle?鈥�

11. To enter the mailing address where your physical parking permit will be sent, click 鈥淎dd New Address.鈥� Residential students are encouraged to use their campus address as the shipping address for their parking permit. Residence hall mailing address information is available聽here.

12. Add your shipping address information and click on 鈥淪ave Address鈥�. A box will pop up with two address options. Select the option that says use the 鈥淯SPS shipping address鈥�.

13. Click on the box acknowledging that you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions, then click on 鈥淪ubmit Registration鈥�.

Dear 糖心APP Community,

As we prepare for the new academic year, we are introducing a new parking system and expanding shuttle service to better serve the campus community.

On weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., the following rules apply beginning on August 31:

• Student parking is no longer permitted in the southwest section of South Campus, between California Avenue and Oak Street. This includes commuter and residential students.
  • The exception is for law school students, who will receive a special permit to park in designated Law School lots, identified by a purple L designation, and medical school students, who may park in designated North Campus lots, identified by a dark green M designation.
• Commuter students now have access to additional parking spaces on the southeast side of campus through the designation of commuter-only lots.
• Faculty and staff may continue to park in the southwest section of campus in designated faculty/staff parking, and in other areas of South Campus designated as faculty/staff parking.
• Vehicles displaying a valid 糖心APP parking permit and a state-, county-, or town-issued disability parking placard or license plate may park in any designated accessible parking space on campus.
• Expanded shuttle service will provide frequent transportation from North Campus parking lots on the east and west sides, from Colonial Square, and from the Mack Arena parking lots to the Student Center, with shuttles arriving approximately every 4 to 6 minutes throughout the day.
• Parking lot restrictions on South Campus are lifted after 4 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
• EV charging stations may only be used when parked in a lot designated for your permit type.

• Commuter student parking is indicated by yellow permits and lot signage.
• Residential student parking is indicated by green permits and lot signage.
• Faculty/staff parking is indicated by blue permits and lot signage.
• V parking indicates designated visitor parking on South Campus. Visitors may also park on North Campus.
• R parking indicates restricted lots where a Category II, Category III, or disability parking permit is required.
• Parking lots with the green P are open lots where anyone can park.

Later this week, you will receive information about registering your vehicle and the parking lots assigned to your permit type. Please take a few minutes to review the information carefully so you understand how to register your vehicle, where to park, and how to properly display your permit.

If you plan to park on campus during the upcoming academic year, you will need to register your vehicle by Monday, August 24, 2026. Parking permits are provided at no cost to you and remain valid through August 31, 2027.
